Geeli mitti farms1/23/2024 ![]() As a result, I was also living with a lot of doubts in my head about living in houses made of mud or earthbags or wattle and daub.These were the same doubts that I get asked now when I tell people about my own project - “will it survive rain? won’t it get washed away? won’t it require regular maintainance?”And the biggest one “How do we start and who would help us?”Natural building is an area where the biggest challenges are the lack of documentation and lack of availability of skill for hire. I knew a lot, theoritically, but never did a practical workshop before. ![]() ![]() We visited a few sites, stayed in such buildings and spoke to the home owners, in the past. He was probably way more into it, way before we even met. Jeet (my husband) and I have been dreaming, reading, watching about natural building since we got married and left the cities. We all know how that pans out, dont we?I am so effing glad we made it to the workshop. We almost said we will do this later to this one, since we lived just 40 kms away from Geeli Mitti and thought we can do it some other time. ![]() I am in the process to building our mud house and I don’t think we could have pulled it off without their presence in our lives.Now for the full story □I joined my first natural building workshop at Geeli Mitti, in March 2019.
